Cord lace

There is a technique called cord lace, in which delicate and transparent tulle lace or river lace is embroidered with thin threads over the pattern to create a three-dimensional effect.

To apply this technique to decorate high-quality cashmere shawls, a more three-dimensional expression was required.

It needed to be as transparent as lace, bring out the warmth of the cashmere, create a sculptural three-dimensional effect, and still look light.
As CHRISCELIN developed this technique, she also focused on developing threads, and created embroidered patterns by wrapping custom-made threads around delicate tulle.
This is the birth of CHRISCELIN's original cord lace made using our unique techniques.
